Finally an Update

I am finally finding a spare moment to update my blog! I am a little curious of how all these mommies keep their blogs updated. I find myself doing the bare minimum to myself in the morning to get ready for the day and my head hits the pillow not long after the munchkins but decided it was finally time to get even less sleep and get a new post up. (It's funny that I started to put this post together a week ago!)

Tomorrow is a very exciting day at our house....we get our daddy home! Heath will be home and stationed at Hill Air Force Base, which means we will have a weekend daddy!

On December 30, 2010 we welcomed our sweet little Quincie Bedelia who is truly my Heaven sent little lady! She is so sweet spirited and hardly makes a noise. (Sometimes, I think it is a disadvantage because she doesnt get as much attention as I would like to give her)

January was full of adjustments. Not only was it an adjustment to having a new baby, but to being a single mommy of the 3 little munchkins I have.

Febuary was a very hard month for us. (The tears are already streaming down my face, as this is hard to write) We were planning to go to Phoenix to see Heath and play in the sun. The day before we were planning to leave, Feb 16th I asked my mom to come and tend Paislee and Riker so that I could go to a doctors appt and then get my hair cut. I drove to Salt Lake and after my doctor appt I decided to go spend some quality time with my Grandma and enjoy some lunch. I tried to call her before going to her house to see what she would like for lunch, she didn't answer. I was hoping that she was in the tub or just couldn't make it to the phone. I decided to get Wendy's as I knew that if I went to the house first I wouldn't have time to go and get lunch before my hair appointment. I also had a feeling something was wrong, but thought that maybe if I got lunch everything would be okay. I preceeded to Grandma's house with two #1's with a sides of Chili, a Diet Coke, a coke and of course two Chocolate Frosty's for each of us. When I got to Grandma's I went to the back door and new something was wrong when her news paper that her neighbors put by the back door was still there. The door was also locked. I call my mom and asked her to be on the phone with me while I climbed through the garage window to get a key and open the door. When I opened the door, I found my sweet little Grandma still in the chair at the kitchen table. There was nothing I could do for Grandma as she had passed the afternoon/evening before after my mom had been to see her before leaving for my house.

Although, it is VERY, VERY, difficult to have Grandma gone, as she will surely be missed, my family has alot of neat memories of Grandma. Heath was the only one in the family who could give Grandma a hard time and get away with it, Paislee and Riker adored great Grandma and sweet little Quincie was able to meet her.

March has also been a bit of a challenge at our house. Quincie was diagnosed with RSV. We started by taking her to out patient suction clinics, but that only lasted 3 days. She ended up being admitted to the pediatric unit at Utah Valley for 4 days. We are finally on the mend. If it wasn't for my mother in law and parents, I would have been in a world of hurt. I am so incredibly thankful for them and for all the help, support, and love they give to Heath, myself, and our kids. We are truly blessed.

We are also looking forward to Spring/Summer. Riker is now potty trained, but with that comes a lack of clothes. It is hard to keep them on him! Although, it is funny that he always seems to have some kind of cowboy apparell on.
